That’s my kitchen window. See that little dead wiry tree in-between my healthy plants? I bought that Fall decor at the grocery store today because I want to remind myself of something I learned last year.

In 2017, I was healing from a car accident that caused a Coup Contrecoup brain injury. A friend told me about Dr. Caroline Leaf, a cognitive neuroscientist. Dr. Leaf said your brain actually grows either good or bad trees of brain cell connections. Those trees, growing inside your brain, come from the thoughts you have implanted in your brain.

Neuro scientists have pictures of what happens when we think a positive thought. We make healthy little proteins that look like pink fluffy balls when we think on what is true, what is right, what is noble, what is pure, what is lovely. Positive thoughts group together & make a healthy tree in our brains.

When we think on negative thoughts, instead of pink proteins, our brains make a distorted wiry looking protein. It grows into an ugly wiry dead looking tree.

Look at the picture again? Which one is growing in your brain?

Are you building healthy connections? If not, release the negativity and replace it with God’s truth! It’s your choice to either choose life or death.

I’m choosing life!
